Mr. Kooiker's 4th Grade Blog

Be Nice • Work Hard • Learn Well

Thank You!

What an amazing year! 🙂

Parents, thank you for the support and encouragement you faithfully gave to your children and me throughout the year.  Please know that this made a huge difference!

Awesome 4th graders, I looked forward to going to school every day because of you! Your desire to learn, ability to focus, willingness to work hard, and enjoyment of fun are some of the characteristics that made this group very special!

Also, thank you so much for the end of the year gifts!  Mrs. K and I are eager to enjoy them throughout the summer! 🙂

Field Day 2018

The weather forecast for Tuesday, June 5, is partly cloudy (which also means, partly sunny) and pleasant with a high of 76 degrees.  Sounds like great weather for the district-wide 4th and 5th grade field day!

We will be heading to Baldwin Middle School shortly after 9:00, with the first round of tug-o-war beginning at 9:20.  The students in our classroom will be competing with other 4th graders from our district in a variety of events.  We will enjoy lunch from 11:45 – 12:15.  More competition will follow in the afternoon.  Parents, you are welcome to join us!  We will plan to return to Georgetown at 1:45.

Please remember to wear tennis shoes and pack a lunch and water, unless you have already ordered a sack lunch through the school food service.  The lunches will be stored in the shade, but not refrigerated, so please pack accordingly.

Also, boys should wear orange shirts and girls, pink shirts, or the Hudsonville Field Day shirt that you purchased.images

Get ready for a great day!
