We the people…

…in room 304, in order to gain a better understanding of the Constitution, shared what we thought we knew about it and then went in search of the facts.  Why did we want to learn more about this document that was signed many years ago? Yesterday, September 17, was Constitution Day.

So, we explored informational text to discover more  about it. The students did a great job of using text features to zero in on important information.

Parents, if your son or daughter has not yet shared at least 3 facts about the Constitution with you, please ask them to do so.

As they were sharing, the question was asked, “Where is the Constitution?” I told them that would be a great question to research. I’m looking forward to hearing what they discovered.
