It’s time to celebrate!

smile clipartThis class is going places that no other class has ever gone! Tomorrow, February 10, we will celebrate having been recognized forty times for outstanding behavior! This is a REALLY big deal!

We brainstormed ideas of how to celebrate. They came fast and furious. I have to admit, the list of possibilities was pretty impressive.

After the votes were tallied, the winners were a pizza lunch, extra reading time, blanket forts, and electronics/games time.

So…

  • I will provide two slices of pizza from Jet’s and Hawaiian Punch for each person. Students are welcome to supplement as desired.
  • We will build blanket forts and read in them. Flashlights might be helpful…and fun!
  • We will also have time for electronics/games. Please talk with your child about appropriate electronics to bring and games to play.

We’re looking forward to a fun time of celebrating!

P.E. CARES Celebration

P.E. C.A.R.E.S. was a huge success!  A total of 2,653 food donations were brought in and distributed to families in need during the Thanksgiving season.  Thank you for supporting this school community service project!

The students (and families) in our classroom were incredibly generous in donating food items.  As a result, we will be celebrating with a bowling party tomorrow.  We are really looking forward to our trip to Hudsonville Lanes!images

We also plan to enjoy a pizza lunch that has been donated by the family of one of our students!  Thank you for making this celebration extra special!

Check back soon…pictures are coming!

Ease into the Season Celebration!

On Friday, December 18, our focus in the afternoon is going to be on food, friends, and fun!  The plans are as follows:

Come comfortable.  Mrs. Reagan has declared this to be Holiday Spirit Week!  Friday is pajama or ugly sweater day, it’s your choice.

0025-0805-2817-2863_clip_art_graphic_of_a_cheese_pizza_slice_cartoon_character_in_the_center_of_a_christmas_wreath-1ed278xPolish off pizza.  I will provide two slices of pizza and Hawaiian Punch for each person.  Extra pizza will be available for $1.00 per slice.  Please send the money for the extra pizza by Thursday, so we will be sure to have enough pizza.  Students are welcome to supplement with other food as desired.

Enjoy entertainment.  All of the Georgetown fourth graders will gather in the library to watch a movie.  We are planning to show Shaun the Sheep.  Critics Consensus: Warm, funny, and brilliantly animated, Shaun the Sheep is yet another stop-motion jewel in Aardman’s family-friendly crown.” (click on link for more info: Rotten Tomatoes)  Please let me know if you would prefer for your child to not watch this movie and I will make other arrangements for him/her.

Sip, sing, and strategize.  downloadThe afternoon will wrap up with hot chocolate, Christmas music, and games.  Please pack your favorite card game, board game, and/or electronic game.

We are looking forward to easing into the season! 🙂
