Thank You!

What an amazing year! 🙂

ThankYou

Awesome 4th graders, I looked forward to going to school every day because of you! Your desire to learn, ability to focus, willingness to work hard, and enjoyment of fun are some of the characteristics that made this group very special!

Also, thank you so much for the end of the year gifts!  Mrs. K and I are eager to enjoy them throughout the summer! 🙂

Christmas Party!

Oh what fun it is to celebrate in room 304!  The students did an amazing job of planning and enjoying our party on Wednesday!  Some people created crafts…

Other people played games…

Everyone ate donuts and drank hot chocolate!

And parents, you went above and beyond in generously donating what we needed to make this celebration special!  Thank you! 🙂

The families and friends of the students in our classroom collected a whole bunch of Box Tops this fall.  In fact, it was enough to win the competition at Georgetown!  Thank you for buying Box Tops products, clipping them, and sending them to school!

There is more good news…we were given Sprinkles doughnuts to celebrate!  Thank you for this special treat!

And, that’s not all…our school also wins because we earn cash for the clipped Box Tops sent in by all of the Georgetown students!  Way to go, Georgetown families!

Thank you, volunteers, for organizing this opportunity and counting all of the Box Tops…that was a lot of work!   We are blessed to have such committed parents and volunteers!

“Why not?”

DSC04688“Why not?”  These two small words made a huge impact this year.  Why not earn an outstanding in art?  Or music?  Or P.E.?  Or in the lunchroom?  Or in the hallway?  Or in our classroom?  It began with me asking, “Why not earn an outstanding today?”

As time went on, the students initiated the challenge by asking me, “Why not?”  They owned their choices, worked incredibly hard as a team, and were recognized twenty-six times for their outstanding behavior!

DSC04678You are truly an outstanding group of fourth graders…what a special year!  I looked forward to school every day because of you! You are ready for fifth grade, but I will miss spending my days with you.

Parents, thank you for the support and encouragement you faithfully gave your child and me throughout the year.  Please know that this made a huge difference!
