All of the students at Georgetown win because of the HUGE success of the 2013 Trek for Tech Walk-a-thon!  The money raised will help buy tech tools and pay for events like popcorn days, Just Write, parent/child outings, and more. Thank you SO much for your support!

TOTAL EARNED: $14, 394.99….Not enough for the SUMO WRESTLING EVENT…but a HUGE AMOUNT FOR OUR WONDERFUL SCHOOL!  Thank you everyone!
There are several individual prizes (Book Fair gift certificates, movie tickets, etc.) that will be awarded.  We will be drawing names for these and sending out emails to parents.  We are still in the process of cross checking names, etc.

COW BELLS:  These will be passed out to students as soon as we receive them!  If you earned $25 or more, you will receive a cow bell.

The walking part of the walk-a-thon is a wrap!  The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had a lot of fun as we trecked many steps for technology.

The Trek for Tech Walk-a-thon

This year’s annual Walk-a-thon is rapidly approaching. This year’s theme is to “Trek for Tech”. Our school goal is to raise $15,000 and focus on technology needs with the usage of funds. The Walk-a-thon is a our largest fundraiser of the year, and we would love to have every child participate in raising funds for the school.

 

A fundraising packet/envelope has already been sent home. Please consider helping us raise funds for classroom needs. The Walk-a-thon is taking place on Thursday, September 26, 2013 RAIN OR SHINE!

9:45 – 10:30 a.m.: Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade

10:45 – 11:30 a.m.: 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade

 

All donation forms and money is due back to school on Monday, September 30, 2013.

PRIZE INFORMATION

Each student who raises $25 or more will receive a blue cowbell with the Eagles logo in late October.

 

The top earning classroom will get a limo ride and lunch at Pizza Ranch!!!

 

The top earning student in each grade will get a pizza and desert lunch from Mrs. Reagan!

 

Other various prizes will also be awarded too.

 

LAST BUT NOT LEAST


If the entire school can raise $15,000 or more, Mr. Rob will take on Mr. Bowen, Mr. Kooiker, Mr. Bialochowski, and Mr. Gort in an epic sumo wrestling challenge!

2012 Walk-a-thon

The annual walk-a-thon is coming September 26th!  This is our primary PTC fundraiser.  The theme for the 2012-13 event is TREK FOR TECH!

Why are walk-a-thon donations so important? This money helps to provide:

  • School assemblies
  • Framed art work
  • Scoreboard and hoops for the gym
  • Recess equipment
  • Family days like the Carnival, Mother/Daughter and Father/Son events
  • Music materials
  • Popcorn days
  • Field trips
  • Classroom supplies
  • Reading Counts motivation program
  • Raz Kids online reading program
  • Book Fair
  • Santa’s Secret Shop
  • Library books
  • Nooks
  • AND SO MUCH MORE!!!

PLEASE DONATE!  If every child raises $25, we can fund the events above AND reach our goal for the year:  TECHNOLOGY TOOLS FOR THE CLASSROOMS!

We would like to raise enough money to continue the events above and provide affordable tech learning tools for each grade level to assist with student learning.  Please help us support learning through technology by donating to the school PTC.

 

For our walk-a-thon days, we want everyone to wear BLUE and GOLD…EAGLE colors!   Parents and grandparents are invited to join us.   The more, the merrier!

  • 10:00    Grade 3

  • 10:35    Grade 5
  • Walkathon ends at 11:30.

 

What are the prizes?

  • Top 5 EARNING WINNERS:  MAY 2013 POOL PARTY AT MRS. REAGAN’S HOUSE
  • Top 6 WINNERS for EACH GRADE:  PIZZA PARTY WITH MRS. REAGAN
  • Top WINNING CLASSROOM:  TOP SECRET SPECIAL ACTIVITY
  • EVERY PARTICIPANT who raises $25 or more will get the most awesome FOAM FINGER!
  • EVERY PARTICIPANT will be entered into drawings for a LASER TAG FAMILY FUN PACKAGE and more…to be announced.

 

When are donations due?

Completed donation forms and money must be returned to school by Friday, September 28.  You do not need to send the money this week. You have until September 28.

 

PARENTS STILL NEEDED AS VOLUNTEERS!
Amanda Impens is still looking for PARENT HELP. This is a fun event to work. Low stress….and loads of fun. Please let her know if you can help by emailing her. She is in need of bubble machines, spray bottles (for water) and big hearts who are willing to help her keep walking kids walking and hydrated!
