Our all school WALK•A•THON is tomorrow, September 24.  We plan to start walking at 10:30! 🙂

This is our ONLY PARENT CLUB fundraiser for the year.  If we reach our goal of $15,000, the teachers will play a game of BUBBLE SOCCER for student and parent entertainment!

STUDENTS:  Remember to dress in your favorite BLUE/GOLD EAGLES Wear or dress as an American Ninja Warrior.

2014 Rock the WALK-A-THON Wrap-up

DSC03582The 2014 Rock the WALK-A-THON was a HUGE success!  We had a lot of fun and raised over $19,000 for our school.  Thank you SO much families and friends of Georgetown!

The money collected will make the student/family/teacher events for 2014-15 possible this year, as well as impacting the technology opportunities in our building.  So, that means that everyone at Georgetown wins!

Specific winners from our classroom include the following:

Every student who raised $25 will receive a FLASHLIGHT.

POOL PARTY with the PRINCIPAL  (Held in May of 2015…when it is warm again!)

  • Ellise Crowley
  • Kaycie Lawrence

Top Class

  • 3rd place:  Mr. Kooiker’s Class — 1 extra recess

Individual Prizes

  • Trenton Mervau – Legos

Scholastic Book Fair Gift Certificates

  • Brady O’Brien

As the prizes arrive, they will be passed out to the many winners.

Also, our school-wide goal was $15,000.  We surpassed that total by a significant amount, which meant that it was time for a sumo wrestling celebration.  Check out the video below to get a taste of this entertaining event! 🙂

Thanks again for supporting Georgetown Elementary!
